How to order
The first step is absolutely free!
Send your photos
I work from your photographs so having good quality photos is essential for me to capture your pet's likeness and character. You may already have one in mind or I can help you decide. I'll need few different ones so that I have clear reference to markings and colouring.
Agree on format and layout
We'll first discuss some details over email such as the pose, background, collar on or off and a delivery date.
I'll next email you a pencil outline sketch to confirm what we've discussed and then if you are happy for me to proceed will I request a non refundable 50% deposit before I start your painting.
Approve final painting
Please allow a minimum of 5 working days for me to email you a photo of your painting. Small changes can be made at this stage, for example slight colour adjustments or a few more whiskers. Once you are happy with your painting I will request the balancing payment before carefully packaging your painting and posting with tracking.
A note on supplying photos
I want you to be 100% happy with your painting and so for the best results I will need some good quality digital photographs from you.
Below are few tips for selecting or taking photographs for me to work from.

Height & position
A photo taken at eye level to your pet often looks best. This will avoid some proportional distortions that you might not notice in a photo but can sometimes look 'off' in a painting.

Sunlight
For the best representation of fur colour and texture please supply a photo taken outdoors with the sun behind you or indoors near a big window.
Avoid the brightest sunlight as this will cast distracting harsh shadows or make your pet squint and the eyes are often the focus of a painting.

Size & quality
Your phone is fine for taking photos, but please make sure the camera is set to HD or a large resolution as I will need to see detail when I zoom in.
If you want to get the ball rolling, feel free to email some photos now for a no obligation chat.
I look forward to hearing from you.
